Previously fit and healthy people have virus suffered symptoms for more than three months, with some even being confined to a wheelchair due to the illness.
Tens of thousands of Brits say they have had coronavirus symptoms for lengthy periods of time as experts warn of long Covid .
Around 60,000 people are believed to have had symptoms of the virus lasting longer than three months.
A number of those people impacted by the illness have seen serious conditions continue on for weeks longer than expected – some of which have resulted in lives being turned upside down due to the virus.
