Hundreds of pupils and their teachers have come into contact with the virus since schools reopened this week
Pupils and staff from schools across Liverpool are now isolating after positive coronavirus cases were confirmed.
Students at eight different schools have come into contact with the virus meaning they will now have to go into isolation for 14 days.
Following a number of positive test results, schools across the city made the decision to send almost 200 pupils and 21 staff members home.
