It is the first time that a local lockdown will be placed on a county in Wales

The county borough of Caerphilly is due to be the first area of Wales to be placed under a local lockdown following a “significant rise” in coronavirus cases.
Wales’ Health Minister Vaughan Gething made the announcement on Monday evening after 133 new Covid-19 cases were recorded over the past seven days, equivalent to a rate of 55.4 cases per 100,000 population.
