Many cities around the world have already begun transforming their restaurants to curb side dining in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Melbourne’s hospitality industry is still grappling with how to deal with the extended lockdown with the city’s famous restaurants and cafes remaining closed for indoor dining until late November.
But Premier Daniel Andrews says he hopes to see al-fresco dining become the norm, with health advice showing the COVID-19 risk is lower when people congregate outdoors.
