Aussie young gun advances to his biggest test yet: US Open results – Fox Sports
Aussie Alex de Minaur is through to his first Grand Slam quarter-final after taking down Vasek Pospisil 7-6(6) 6-3 6-2.

While de Minaur will now have to overcome second seed Dominic Thiem for a spot in the semi finals, the default of Novak Djokovic has opened up the US Open with the 21-year old now a chance of taking it all out.
With his comfortable win over Pospisil he already became the first Aussie to make it to the quarter-finals at Flushing Meadows since John Millman in 2018.
