Jockey Dwayne Dunn says he was a millimetre away from being a quadriplegic following his sickening accident at The Valley on Saturday.
Dunn’s head slammed into the top of the barriers when his mount Shot Of Irish leapt into the air at the start of the Powerflo Solutions Handicap.
The jockey suffered neck fractures in the incident but he counts himself lucky to be walking around with a soft neck brace on Monday.
