Queensland hospital worker among two new COVID-19 cases as cluster grows – 7NEWS.com.au
The outbreak has forced hundreds of hospital staff into quarantine.
A worker at Ipswich Hospital in south-east Queensland is one of two new COVID-19 cases in the state.
The woman in her 30s tested positive in quarantine overnight.
She becomes the fifth staff member at the hospital, south-west of Brisbane, to become infected with the disease.
Health Minister Steven Miles described her as a healthcare worker.
He did not say if she worked in the hospitals coronavirus unit, where other staff have previously tested positive.
