De Minaur eyes career best grand slam finish as Thiem clash looms – Sydney Morning Herald
It’s been 19 years since two Australians featured in the fourth round of the US Open and Alex de Minaur is now on a collision course with Dominic Thiem.
It will also put him on a collision course with another Canadian – rising star Felix Auger Aliassime – or second seed Dominic Thiem.
The star Australian has never faced Auger Aliassime – the 20-year-old rated by many as a future major winner – and has just taken just one set off Thiem in their two previous clashes.
