Service NSW confirms more than 180,000 people will be informed their personal information may have been exposed during a major cyber security breach, after the emails of 47 staff were hacked earlier this year.

More than 180,000 New South Wales residents are believed to have been caught up in a major cyber security breach after a state government department was compromised earlier this year.
