There are now 29,672 people here that have tested positive for Covid-19
Four areas were hardest hit as 21 counties saw a rise in coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, new figures show.
Dublin once again saw the biggest increase, reporting 68 further infections.
This was followed by Limerick, with 13, as well as Galway and Kildare with nine.
Cork, Wexford and Wicklow each reported five new cases.
The remaining 24 new infections were spread across Carlow, Clare, Donegal, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford, …
