850 people fail to meet criteria for Phase 3 clinical trials of Covid-19 vaccine in Bahrain – ZAWYA
Some have been excluded for health reasons such as suffering from existing chronic health conditions
Volunteers also have to be over the age of 18 and must not have been previously infected with the coronavirus.Co-investigator and field supervisor of Bahrain’s Covid-19 Clinical Trials Dr Jaleela Al Sayed told the GDN that no serious adverse effects have been reported from anyone who had so far taken part.
“Many reasons could be there for a volunteer to be excluded and, of course, this trial will tell us more about the vaccine itself,” she explained.
