60yo man drowns while swimming in Tasmania’s north-west
A 60-year-old man is believed to have drowned while swimming at a beach in north-west Tasmania, police say.
Emergency services were called to Coles Beach in Devonport about 11:30am after reports a man appeared to be in difficulty in the water.
Ambulance and police attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
