57k Qld vote dodgers facing fines

A massive 57,000 multiple non-voters have been sent an “apparent failure to vote notice” by the Electoral Commission of Queensland following the recent state poll.It means they must provide a valid or sufficient excuse for not voting or pay a half fine of $66.50 before a specified deadline.Those who do not respond to the notice or do not pay the half fine will be given the full fine of $133.Multiple non-voters only include those people who have failed to vote in three or more elections.Another…
