$500k taxpayer funds to be spent on QFleet hydrogen-powered cars
Energy and Renewables Minister Mick de Brenni announced in December last year that the government would trial five Hyundai NEXO hydrogen fuel cell vehicles which would be powered by local hydrogen.The trial will last three years.But the cars have not yet joined QFleet and will each cost $2750 to hire per month, totalling $495,000.QFleet is expected to receive the cars in coming months.
