Sony has revealed in its third quarter investor report that it sold 4.5 million PS5 units between its November 12th launch date and December 31st.
This is pretty much on par with how many PS4s were sold back in 2013 in the same time period (4.5 million).
Obviously, stock constraints played a big issue in this, but 4.5 million consoles sold in a six week period is still a decent amount and no doubt they’ve gone on to move similar numbers in the first five weeks of 2021.
