There could be 300 million planets in the Milky Way Galaxy that support life, according to NASA estimates.
The planets are all rocky, similar in size to Earth and orbit in the Goldilocks zone, not too far and not too close to sun-like stars, NASA said in a press release. The new research also estimated the temperature of those stars, giving scientists a better idea whether they could have liquid water.
