2021 NT Order of Australia recipients include scientists, space researchers and police

Trying to grow a space industry in the Territory outback has been a dream job for Carley Scott and today it’s seen the CEO of Equatorial Launch Australia honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia.
She’s been working to get NASA rockets launched from a small commercial spaceport in remote north-east Arnhem Land and while there’ve been delays, she says the project is still on track.
“What’s next is continuing to develop that spaceport, work with the Yolngu and Balanda communities in Arnhem Land, the Northern Territory Government, work with the space sector in Australia and see that we get NASA rockets launched in the Northern Territory,” Carley Scott said.
“So we continue to develop space sector opportunities.”
