Nissan reveals a sub-Juke small SUV, but despite playing in a key emerging segment with compelling specs it has been ruled out for an Australian introduction.

Nissan has revealed its latest small SUV, dubbed Magnite, which will sit below the Juke in its global portfolio.
The Magnite name is said by the brand to be a combination of the words ‘magnetic’ and ‘ignite’, and while it may appear to be a direct rival to cars like the Hyundai Venue and soon-to-arrive Kia Stonic in Australia, in reality it is designed primarily with developing markets in mind – think of it as competing with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Creta and Renault Kwid.
