Hong Kong businessman Tony Fung wasted no time making a statement at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale paying more than a million for two colts in the first 70 lots to pass through the ring.
Fung secured just the fourth lot sold of the day – a bay colt by Exceed And Excel from the Bernardini mare Peace Force for $2.1 million from the Vinery Stud draft.
Purchased on Fung’s behalf by Aquis head Shane McGrath, the colt was one of two million-dollar babies he handed from the Hunter Valley property.
