18th man confusion derails perfect Panthers’ bid, desperate Broncs’ latest halves switch: Team Tips
The Panthers are set to be without star hooker Api Koroisau after confirmation both 18th men for the Blues and Maroons will be ineligible to play for their clubs in Round 13.
It comes as a blow to the NRL leaders, who face their toughest test this week without their Origin stars as they bid for an unthinkable unbeaten season.
The Daily Telegraphs David Riccio reported fans and even clubs had sought clarification of the rule but 18th men for both states wont be allowed to back up for club footy.
