Melbourne households in the eastern and outer northern suburbs have been urged to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms after traces of the virus were detected in their sewer catchments.
Victoria’s health department warned that a person “most likely” was shedding the virus after an infectious period, however the detection of the virus could also be due to a person living in or travelling through the area in the early active infectious phase.
