$1,710 problem with JobKeeper – Yahoo Finance Australia
Employers aren’t required to contribute to their staff’s nest egg if no hours have been worked.
Many Australians receiving the governments $1,500 wage subsidy, JobKeeper, may find that, come September, their nest egg is around $1,710 lighter than expected.
Thats because employers are not actually required to contribute the 9.5 per cent super guarantee to their employees super fund if the employee isnt genuinely working.
