Small-time Ballarat trainer Alan Hanrahan was denied a blowout of epic proportions after the race he ‘won’ at Ararat on Tuesday was deemed a ‘no-race’ by stewards.
Hanrahan’s Abraxos, who started $126 with Sportsbet, won like an odds-on pop in race four at Ararat, but half the field was denied a fair start by a barrier malfunction.
