The government could issue a nationwide 10pm curfew in a bid to stave off a second national lockdown, according to reports.
In Bolton, new restrictions mean pubs, bars and restaurants face having to serve takeaway items only – with strict 10pm closing times.
Birmingham has the third highest coronavirus rate in the country – behind only Bolton and Bradford.
And as part of the government’s efforts to avoid a second wave of Covid-19, people could be banned from going out after 10pm or 11pm.
