Three Customs agencies have collaborated to disrupt an illicit import to Australia of 1 million cigarettes. The Australian Border Force, Taiwan Customs and the Korean Customs Border Targeting Centre have
collaborated to seize one million cigarettes in the Port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan that were destined for Australia. Direct links with international counterparts remain key to detecting and disrupting the importation of illicit drugs and tobacco before they reach the Australian border.
