A team of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers has developed a nanofibrous hydrogel-based material that mimics the structure of a lobsters underbelly, and is potentially strong and stretchy enough to be used to make replacement tissues such as artificial tendons and ligaments.
