A health alert has been issued after a dangerous stimulant was found mixed in cocaine and MDMA in Melbourne.
On Thursday, the Department of Health and Human Services issued the warning, saying there had been a number of recent hospitalisations in the state.
The dangerous synthetic stimulant is N-ethylpentylone (NEP).
It has been mixed into or deliberately sold as cocaine or MDMA.
