Star Irish jockey Oisin Murphy has been issued a three-month suspension by authorities in France, after a hearing relating to a positive sample to metabolites of cocaine.
Murphy produced the positive sample at a race meeting at Chantilly on July 19.
Several reports in the UK media read that Murphy testified at the hearing that the contamination was, in his belief, due to having sexual intercourse the night prior with a woman who he later discovered was an occasional cocaine user.
